Why Do WE Remember the Wrong Names?

History has a strange way of remembering people.

We remember the names of people who caused unimaginable pain. Their names appear in books, documentaries, movies, and headlines decades after they are gone.

But what about the person who worked two jobs to give their children a better life? The teacher who changed a child's future? The neighbor who quietly helped everyone around them? The father or mother who's lessons still guide a family generations later?

Most of their names will never appear in history books.

Maybe we should ask ourselves why.

This isn't about giving more attention to people who became infamous for hurting others. It's about recognizing something we've gotten backwards: sometimes the people who destroy lives are remembered longer than the people who spent their lives making them better.
